Trent Swim Club Masters

 

The Trent Swim Club Masters program welcomes swimmers from all different backgrounds and offers a combination of challenging aerobic workouts and stroke-specific technique sessions focusing mainly on freestyle, but including other strokes.  Practices may include kick, drills, long- and mid-distance sets, and sprinting. Interested swimmers must be able to swim at least 400 metres with basic freestyle technique.

Session III: April 8th – June 29th 

(12 weeks)

Practice Times:

  • Monday: 7:00-8:30 PM              YMCA
  • Tuesday: 7:00-8:00 PM             YMCA
  • Wednesday: 5:30-7:00 AM        TRENT
  • Thursday: 7:00-8:00 PM            YMCA
  • Saturday: 8:30-10:00 AM           TRENT

*Practice structure: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday practices will include aerobic/endurance sets to work on fitness. Tuesday and Thursday practices are strictly technique-based and will include thorough stroke correction and drill work (it is strongly suggested that you choose either Tuesday or Thursday as one of your weekly practices if at all possible, as stroke correction and technique work benefit every kind of swimmer). 

 

Fees:

Two packages available:

  • Package 1 – Three practices per week: $300.00
  • Package 2 – Two practices per week: $240.00

* Prices include $35.00 for Masters Swimming Ontario registration - this fee is required both for competition and insurance purposes and covers swimmers for 12 months starting on September 1st.

* Swimmers will choose practices at time of registration

*$25.00 discount for swimmers with child registered in the Trent Swim Club age group program

 

Registration:

  • Registration Wednesday March 27 4- 6 pm at Trent University in the room overlooking the pool
  • Cheques may be made out to the Trent Swim Club in the amount of the package fees (less any discounts).
  • Please note that registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis and your preferred practice times will only be secured once full payment is received.
