Julie has instructed the Peterborough Swim School and the AG1 group for the last three seasons. She completed her Level 2 Swim Coach certification. Along with Sean Dwyer, she is also a past member of the Trent Swim Club, and a Trent University Varsity Swim Team member.

Her experience includes instructing and lifeguard responsibilities at the Curve Lake Health Facility, and the YMCA. Julie is a graduate of the Sir Sandford Fleming College Business Administration Human Resources Program.
